About 28 years ago, God called me to teach His holy Word. I answered that call. Approximately 17 years ago, He said build me a church. I said, yes, sir.
I mentored under a pastor for 2 years. Then, he guided me in setting up a new church. He called me to pastor the church. We began in my living room. When we outgrew it, we moved to a storefront in Lockhart, Texas. When we outgrew the storefront, we moved to a warehouse-looking building in another part of that town. It had a baptistery. We have baptized well over 400 souls in the 15 years we have operated. Numbers are not important other than to make known our prime objective-leading folks to Jesus Christ. We are also quite benevolent, believing that the Lord wants His people healthy, full of joy and peace, and equipped to share His love with a greedy and self-seeking world. Satan is defeated! We claim the victory through our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ.
I founded a Christian school (Providence Christian Academy) because it became apparent that our public school systems had decided to leave the Bible and prayer out of what they offered our children. I find that unacceptable.
We soon realized that the teachers, certified by the state, ill-equipped, not only to teach Bible, but also the other disciplines which we consider so necessary for the preparation of our young for life. So, we decided to equip our own teachers through a Bible College (Timothy Bible College). We battled the state of Texas over our right to have such an institution for 8 years. We won.
Our church’s current effort involves bringing our area ethnic groups together under the singular blood of Christ.
